In addition to the powers stated above and the powers granted under
42 Pa.C.S.A. § 6324(3), each municipal police officer sworn and
employed by the Willistown Township Police Department shall, under 42 Pa.C.S.A.
§ 8902, upon view, have the right of arrest without warrant under
probable cause when there is ongoing conduct that imperils the personal security
of any person or endangers any public or private property for the following
offenses:
A. Under Title 18 when such an offense constitutes a summary
offense:
(1) 18 Pa.C.S.A. § 5503 (relating to disorderly
conduct).
(2) 18 Pa.C.S.A. § 5505 (relating to public drunkenness).
(3) 18 Pa.C.S.A. § 5507 (relating to obstructing
highways and other public passages).
(4) 18 Pa.C.S.A. § 6308 (relating to purchase,
consumption, possession or transportation of liquor or malt or brewed beverages).
When a defendant has been arrested without a warrant for a summary offense,
police officers shall comply with the requirements of Pennsylvania Rules of
Criminal Procedure, Rule 71.
