§ A131-1. Charter.
The form of government which shall govern the County of
Atlantic shall be known as the "County Executive Plan," and includes
Articles 2, 3 and 7 of the Optional County Charter Law (P.L. 1972,
c. 154), as annexed hereto and hereinafter cited as the "Atlantic
County Charter," and its amendments and supplements; being N.J.S.A.
40:41A-24 to 41A-30 inclusive, N.J.S.A. 40:41A-31 to 41A-44 inclusive
and N.J.S.A. 40:41A-86 to 41A-147 inclusive, as amended and supplemented.
Atlantic County Charter
We, the People of Atlantic County, in accordance with
the laws and Constitution of the State of New Jersey, in order to
form a better county government, to better regulate our internal affairs
and to otherwise promote the general welfare, do ordain and establish
this Charter of the County of Atlantic and State of New Jersey.
