The Board of Trustees of the Village of Great
Neck Plaza finds that, in order to enable the village to plan properly
for its future parking needs, in order to be able to respond adequately
in fire and police emergency situations, in order to maximize the
free flow of traffic on village streets and in order to aid in the
prevention of certain crimes, certain information must be available
to the village about the users of long-term daytime parking on local
streets. For the purpose of obtaining such information, the village
hereby adopts this article to establish a parking permit program that
will exempt the holder of such permit, after issuance of the sticker,
from certain time limitations on parking which apply to streets within
the village.
