No person, whether as an owner or occupant of
any corner premises in the Village, shall cause, suffer or permit
any fence, shrubbery, hedge, trees or low-hanging branches therefrom
to be erected, planted or maintained on such premises in such manner
as to obstruct the view by motor vehicle operators of other motor
vehicles approaching from intersecting streets. It shall be the duty
of the Superintendent of Highways to determine in each instance whether
and where any such obstruction exists and it shall be the duty of
the Village Clerk at his direction to notify the owner or occupant
of any premises, requiring such person to remove such obstruction
within five days of such notice.

In the event of failure to comply with the requirements
of this article after such notice, the Superintendent of Highways
may enter upon the premises of such person with such others as he
may require and remove or alter the obstruction accordingly. Any person
failing to comply with the requirements of such notice received by
him shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment
for a period not exceeding 15 days, or by both fine and imprisonment,
for such offense.
