The term of the office of the Town Clerk of
the Town of Cobleskill shall be four years. Such term of office shall
commence on the first day of January next succeeding the next regular
biennial election at which the Town Clerk is to be elected.
A.
This article is subject to a mandatory referendum.
B.
This article shall become operative only if approved
at a general election by the affirmative vote of the majority of the
qualified electors of the Town of Cobleskill voting upon the proposition
and upon filing and publication in accordance with the provisions
of the Municipal Home Rule Law.[1]
