There shall be a Fire Department, the head of which shall be the Fire Chief. The Fire Chief shall be charged with the policy-making, planning, management and administration of the Department and all personnel therein. The Chief of the Fire Department shall be appointed in such manner and shall have such tenure of office as may be provided by the Charter, this Code and other Township ordinances and shall receive such compensation as is provided in Chapter
93, Salaries and Compensation, of this Code.

The Department shall have all of the functions,
powers and duties prescribed by law for a municipal fire department
generally or by any provision of the Charter, this Code and other
ordinances relating to the Township Fire Department, Fire Chief or
the officers and staff of the Department.
