Pursuant to P.L. 1956, c. 186, also being N.J.S.A.
39:4-197, the following regulations for the parking of vehicles upon
land owned and hereafter acquired and maintained by the City of Linwood
as a public park and place of recreation are hereby adopted:
A. No vehicles shall be parked at any time on the lands
owned and hereafter acquired and maintained by the City of Linwood,
in Atlantic County, New Jersey, as a public park and place of recreation,
situate in Blocks 183, 184 and 185, Linwood Tax Map, except in the
following locations, namely:
(1) Vehicles may be parked within a line which is parallel
to and distant 40 feet southeastwardly from the southeasterly line
of Wabash Avenue within said City park and place of recreation and
also for a distance of 100 feet along Wabash Avenue commencing from
the northeasterly line of said park and extending southeastwardly
between parallel lines of a width of 100 feet a distance of 190 feet.
Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 39:4-198, due notice thereof
shall be given to the public by placing a sign at the place where
the ordinance is effective and by briefing its provisions on signs
according to specifications contained in said chapter or any supplement
thereto. Said signs shall be so placed as to be easily read by pedestrians
or operators of vehicles.
For a violation of a provision of this article
for which no specific penalty is provided by statute, the offender
shall be liable to a penalty of not more than $50 or imprisonment
for a term not exceeding 15 days, or both.
