The purpose of this district is to protect environmental
and cultural resources by prohibiting development in identified areas.
The standards set out in this article shall apply in the district.
The following principal uses are permitted in
the PDO District: recreational uses, provided that such uses do not
require a structure.
The following principal structures are permitted
in the PDO District: none, except those deemed necessary to protect
the health and well-being of the natural and cultural resources, such
as:
C. Access road right-of-way.
The following accessory uses are permitted in
the PDO District: uses customarily and clearly incidental to permissible
uses, provided that such uses do not require a structure.
The following accessory structures are permitted
in the PDO District: none.
In the PDO District, the following uses are conditional and are subject to the provisions of Article
XXIII (Conditional Use Permits):
A. Open space uses as defined in Article
II (Rules of Construction and Definitions).
B. Sustained yield activities.
The following structures may be allowed in the PDO District under the provisions of Article
XXIII (Conditional Use Permits): none.
There are no dimensional requirements in this
district.
The following regulations shall apply within
the PDO District:
A. No parking areas are permitted.
B. Article
XXVII as pertaining to the placement and use of signs.
