It shall be unlawful for any person to stop,
fill up, confine, pave or otherwise interfere with any drain or ditch,
watercourse or drainage facilities of this drainage system or surface
water drainage sewers or to divert or change the course thereof without
the approval of the Commissioners of the Township. Any person, firm
or corporation violating any provision of this article shall, upon
summary conviction before any District Justice of the Peace, pay a
fine not exceeding $1,000 and costs of prosecution; and in default
of one payment of the fine and costs, the violator may be sentenced
to the county jail for a term of not more than 90 days. Each and every
day in which any person, firm or corporation shall be in violation
of this article shall constitute a separate offense.
The officers of the Board of Commissioners of
Haverford Township are authorized to make all necessary applications
for permits to state agencies for the enlargement, improvement and
relocation of the drainage system or surface water drainage sewers.
