The provisions of this article shall apply except when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or official traffic control device.
A. 
Wherever a space shall be marked off on any street for the parking of an individual vehicle, every vehicle there parked shall be parked within the lines bounding such space.
B. 
Except where angle parking is authorized and approved by the Village Board, every vehicle stopped, standing or parked upon a highway where there are no adjacent curbs shall be so stopped, standing or parked parallel with the edge of the roadway headed in the direction of lawful traffic.
The parking of vehicles is prohibited at all times in those streets or parts of streets described in Schedule IX, § 276-42.

During the months of December, January, February and March, the parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited on all streets within the Village between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
The standing of vehicles at any time is hereby prohibited in the locations described in Schedule X, § 276-43.
The stopping of vehicles at any time is hereby prohibited in the locations described in Schedule XI, § 276-44.
The parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited in the locations described in Schedule XII, § 276-45, during the times indicated of any day indicated.
The parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited in the locations described in Schedule XIII, § 276-46, for a longer period of time than that designated during the hours indicated of any day indicated.

A. 
Two-hour parking is authorized in the designated spaces perpendicular to Village Hall from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. One such space is designated as handicapped parking only. These spaces shall be used only while doing business at the Village Hall.
B. 
There shall be no parking in front of the active police driveway doors.
C. 
One space is reserved adjacent to Village Hall for police parking only.
D. 
All other designated parking spaces behind Village Hall and continuing to the Delaware County property shall be solely for Village employee parking.
E. 
A new parking lot is hereby created behind 83 Main Street.
(1) 
Two parking places shall be reserved at or near the southwesterly corner of said parking lot for handicapped parking.
(2) 
There shall be no parking in any portion of said parking lot from 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
(3) 
The fine for violating the parking restrictions in this parking lot shall be not more than $100, and said vehicle may be towed by the Village at the owner's expense.

A. 
Fire lanes established.
(1) 
A fire lane is hereby established along the present driveway located between buildings numbered 97 Main Street and 99 Main Street, Delhi, New York. Said fire lane shall be 16 feet in width measured along the easterly side of the building known as "97 Main Street" and running southerly from New York State Route 10 (Main Street) for a distance of 228 feet, thence westerly for 50 feet, thence southerly for 226 feet to its terminus with the Delaware River, a total distance of 504 feet.

(2) 
A fire lane is hereby established along the present driveway located on the easterly side of the building numbered 99 Main Street, Delhi, New York. Said fire lane shall be 16 feet in width beginning at New York State Route 10 (Main Street) and running southerly for 465 feet to its terminus with the Delaware River.

(3) 
A fire lane is hereby established along the southwesterly side of the Great American supermarket store, which fire lane shall be 12 feet in width and shall run the entire length of said store a distance of 185 feet.
(4) 
A fire lane is hereby established along the entire front of all the buildings in the mall area running from the Ames store southerly to the southerly end of the Grand Union a distance of 555 feet and which lane shall be 12 feet in width.
(5) 
A fire lane is hereby established in the rear of the main school building in the parking area, which lane shall run from the edge of the school and nine feet from the rear of the school building measured from the edge of the sidewalk and shall be 100 feet in length and 23 feet in width.
(6) 
A fire lane is hereby established at 28 Main Street, which lane shall be 12 feet in width and run the full length of the driveway to the garbage container at 28 Main Street.

(7) 
Fire lanes are hereby established around the O'Connor Division of Bassett Hospital, all 12 feet in width, as follows:

(a) 
In front of the hospital on the Route 28 side.
(b) 
In the back of the hospital by the emergency room entrance.
(c) 
In the back of the Medical Arts Building.
B. 
No person shall park his vehicle at any time in the fire lanes described in Subsection A above.
C. 
The cost for labor and materials in purchasing and erecting and properly maintaining said signs and for painting or otherwise marking the fire lanes shall be solely that of individuals or corporations or municipal corporations owning the property on which the fire lane is situate.
D. 
Penalties. Every person convicted of a violation of this section shall pay a fine or be imprisoned according to § 276-32 of this chapter.

A. 
Court Street.
(1) 
There shall be diagonal parking on the south side of Court Street between the post office driveway and northerly to the 10 Court Street driveway.
(2) 
The parallel parking previously authorized on said portion of said Court Street is hereby revoked.
