A.
Unless
a different penalty is expressly required by the state Vehicle and
Traffic Law, any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter
shall be punished, upon conviction, by a maximum fine of $750 or by
a term of imprisonment of not more than 15 days, or both, for each
violation.
B.
Any person violating any of the following parking provisions shall
be punished, upon conviction, by a fine in an amount not less than
the amount set forth below:

A.
Except those parts, if any, which are subject to approval
under § 1684 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State
of New York, this chapter and any regulation adopted hereunder shall
take effect as provided by law.
B.
Any part or parts of this chapter and any regulations
adopted hereunder which are subject to approval under § 1684
of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York shall take
effect from and after the day on which approval in writing is received
from the New York State Department of Transportation.
