A.Â
The Board of Trustees has determined that the Village
of Caledonia is a municipality of less than 3,000 persons located entirely
within Livingston County, New York.
B.Â
The intent and purpose of this Article is to provide,
under the provisions of Village Law § 3-300, Subdivision 2(a), that
a resident of Livingston County shall be eligible to hold office as Acting
Village Justice in the Village of Caledonia.
In lieu of any other residency requirements imposed by law, the Acting
Village Justice of the Village of Caledonia shall be eligible to hold office
if that person is a resident of the County of Livingston.
