A. 
Unless otherwise provided below, every person convicted of a traffic infraction for a violation of any provision of this chapter which is not a violation of any provision of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York shall, for a first conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not more than $100 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment; for a second such conviction within 18 months thereafter, such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than $200 or by imprisonment for not more than 45 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment; upon a third or subsequent conviction within 18 months after the first conviction, such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than $300 or by imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
B. 
Penalty for parking violations. Parking violations shall be punishable by the following fines:

A. 
The following Village officers are appointed as parking enforcement officers and as such are authorized to enforce the provisions of this chapter pertaining to parking:
(1) 
Mayor.
(2) 
Village Clerk.
(3) 
DPW Superintendant.
(4) 
Code officials.
(5) 
Village Trustees.
(6) 
Public safety officers.
B. 
These officers are authorized to issue appearance tickets requiring any party alleged to have violated the provisions of this chapter pertaining to parking to answer such charges in Village Court.
