of the Borough of Bonneauville 5-20-1980 by Ord. No. 50 (Ch.

The Borough Council of the Borough of Bonneauville,
Adams County, Pennsylvania, does hereby ratify the position
of Borough Manager which had been created by said Council on January
1, 1977, and filled by appointment from that date.
The Borough Manager shall be compensated in
such amount as the Borough Council shall, from time to time, decide,
and shall provide the services enumerated hereinbelow during such
hours as the Council, from time to time, shall decide.

The powers and duties of the Borough Manager
shall include the following:
A.
Manager's responsibilities.
(1)
Attend to and/or repair street, stop and speed signs,
etc.
(2)
See that pot holes, berms and other Borough streets
are repaired to avoid Borough liability.
(3)
Flush water hydrants semiannually.
(4)
Observe and/or inspect new construction and remodeling
to be sure proper permits are issued and available (zoning, building,
sewer/water inspection).
(5)
Read all water meters by the ninth or tenth of the
month, and be sure that proper billing goes out on time.
(6)
Check for and immediately repair any faulty or malfunctioning
water meters.
(7)
Act on any and all complaints concerning matters of
Borough business.
(8)
Observe materials and supplies needed and make appropriate
requisition and purchase. Borough Manager shall do all ordering to
avoid random purchases by any other Borough officer.
(9)
Purchase no more than reasonable amounts of chemicals
or other perishable substances as they may deteriorate.
(10)
Supervise cleaning and repair in and around all Borough
buildings and facilities.
(11)
Supervise and/or attend to all weed cutting and mowing
[of] playgrounds, tank area, Circle Drive, #3 pump house and disposal
plant grounds.
(12)
Notify all citizens to cut weeds on vacant lots beginning
May 15 through the end of summer.
B.
Administrative duties.
(1)
Attend all Council meetings and submit, in person,
a written report.
(2)
Attend Water Authority meetings.
(3)
When necessary, attend Zoning and Planning Commission
meetings.
(4)
Attend any legal hearings or when legal notices occur
in relationship to Borough affairs.
(5)
Supervise C.E.T.A. and/or other employees of the Borough.
The Borough Council shall fill any vacancy which
may arise in this office of Borough Manager.
