Building permits:

A permit issued by the City for any type of construction, alteration
or repair, such as building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, gas,
sign, fence, dock, seawall, swimming pool, antenna, driveway resurfacing
or paving permit, excavation or fill shall require the payment at
the time of the application for permit of a base permit fee of $70,
plus an amount equal to 2% of project value in excess of $1,000

Projects that indicate a private provider will be used for inspections
at the time of submission of a permit application will receive a 25%
reduction of permit fees. Projects that indicate a private provider
will be used for both inspections and plan review at the time of submission
of a permit application will receive a 50% reduction of permit fees.

If a project indicates a private provider will be used in advance
but decides not to continue after construction commences, the applicant
will be responsible for the full permit fee prior to the City performing
any plan reviews or inspections.

Inspection fees:

Permit fees include all required inspections. In the event a
partial inspection is requested by the permit holder or a reinspection
is required as a result of failing an inspection, an additional fee
of $50 shall be charged for each partial inspection or reinspection.

After-hours inspections. A fee of $300 shall be charged in the
event the permit holder requests, and the City grants the request
for an inspection to take place outside of normal business hours.
For purposes of this section, "normal business hours" are the Community Improvement Department's
hours of operation.

In the event that the processing of a private application for
zoning or code compliance requires additional professional review
or the preparation of a report, the applicant shall pay reimbursement
for all reasonable expenses incurred by the City, as may be deemed
necessary by the Building Official or his/her designee, to review
and process a site plan review. Expenses may include, but are not
limited to, any technical, engineering, planning, landscaping, surveying,
legal or architectural services, and advertising.

applies for more than one of the above-listed approvals on a single
parcel and the requests are scheduled to be heard by the Planning
and Zoning Board at a single meeting, the applicant shall be entitled
to a discount of $100 on the second and subsequent requests.
