In order to permit snowplows to operate freely and unimpeded for the purpose of keeping the Borough streets and highways open for essential and emergency functions, during the period of time commencing one hour after snow has been continuously falling and ending 12 hours after snow ceases to fall, no person shall park, stop, stand or leave abandoned a vehicle on any streets within the Borough of Dunellen.
During the same time period, no person shall park, stop, stand or leave a motor vehicle on the side of any Borough street. Parking will only be permitted in the driveways, and yards, as well as in designated snow emergency parking areas designated as the Columbia Park Lot.
Every person convicted of a violation of this article shall be liable to a fine of not more than $100 or imprisonment for a term of not more than 15 days or both.
Any person parking, stopping, standing or leaving a motor vehicle in violation of this article will also be subject to reasonable towing costs in the event such vehicle must be towed from the Borough streets and highways.
