Rates for payment of police on off-duty assignments shall be a per-hour sum provided for from time to time by resolution of the Township Committee, from which shall be deducted and paid over to the Township Chief Financial Officer the sum of 20% to defray the anticipated costs of workers' compensation premiums, insurances, and clerical and administrative expenses associated with such off-duty assignments. Users for all off-duty police officers who wish to cancel must give the Township a two-hour notice of cancellation (failure to give a two-hour notice will result in three hours being billed to the user). There is a minimum of three hours billed for each assignment.

The Chief of Police or officer in charge shall determine if off-duty assignments shall require the use of a police motor vehicle, and, if so determined, the Chief shall impose and charge a fee per hour or any part thereof for the use of said vehicle, with said fee to be provided for from time to time by resolution of the Township Committee, payable to the Township Chief Financial Officer.
