As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings
indicated:
FOOD-HANDLING ESTABLISHMENT
Any fixed or mobile restaurant in which food or drink is prepared
or processed for human consumption, be it for on- or off-premises consumption.
SUPERVISOR
Any person charged with the responsibility of overseeing the operations,
including the supervision of employees engaged in the preparing or processing
of food or drink intended for human consumption, be it for on- or off-premises
consumption.
No person to whom a food handler's certificate is issued shall
give, loan, transfer or permit the same to be used by any other person for
any purpose whatsoever.
Any establishment not in compliance with any provision of this article
shall be subject to fines/cost not to exceed $1,000. The Board of Health may
suspend the retail food establishment license of any person, partnership,
corporation or establishment in violation of this article for a period not
more than three days, pursuant to the authority of the Board of Health to
license and regulate food establishments as provided by N.J.S.A. 26:3-31(c).
