The firearms and fireworks prohibitions and restrictions set forth in Chapter
71 of the Code of the City of Lexington shall apply in all parks in the City.
No person in a park shall fail to produce and
exhibit any permit from the City Clerk he/she claims to have, upon
request of any authorized City official, officer or employee who shall
desire to inspect the same for the purpose of enforcing compliance
with any ordinance or rule.
No person in a park shall paste, glue, tack,
affix, inscribe, paint, or otherwise post any sign, placard, advertisement,
billboard or inscription whatsoever on any structure or property nor
shall any person erect or cause to be erected any sign or billboard
in or on any such park, park areas, highways or roads adjacent to
a park.
The Street Superintendent may erect or direct
the erection on City park property topically appropriate decorations
and displays designed to commemorate national or state holidays where
in his opinion such decorations will not obstruct the functioning
of the parks, constitute a visual obstruction of traffic or distract
motorists. The Street Superintendent may permit private persons to
erect such decorations and displays upon request to do so if and when
he/she finds the criteria of this section are met. No person shall
erect decorations or displays on park property without the permission
of the Street Superintendent.
