It shall be unlawful and a violation of this
article for any person or corporation to permit a vehicle to remain
in any parking space on the north and south sides of Old Turnpike
Road or in the parking lots of the Convent Station Parking Facility,
including the Old Post Office and the leased St. Thomas More parking
lot as described in Schedule X, attached to and made a part of this
chapter, unless and until the fee or charge herein set forth has been
paid for in advance or deposited in the central parking meter for
said space. It shall also be unlawful and a violation of this article
for any person to wash, repair or otherwise work on or in any such
vehicle; provided, however, that nothing contained herein shall be
construed to prohibit necessary emergency repairs to a vehicle.

The Police Department may remove from any parking
space any unattended vehicle parked or standing in any portion of
said streets not designated as a parking space or any unattended vehicle
parked or standing in a designated parking space for a period of 12
hours, after a summons has been issued charging a violation hereunder.
The Police Department may also remove any vehicle at any time when
the same is found to be parked or standing in a parking space which
has been leased by the Township to a business entity, which parking
space has been posted with notice as to the effective hours of reserved
use. When a vehicle is so removed from said parking space, the owner
of said vehicle shall pay, before being entitled to recovery or possession
of said vehicle, all reasonable charges for towing, storage and other
expenses incurred in the removal of said vehicle. In addition thereto,
every person convicted of a violation of a provision of this article
or any supplement or amendment hereto shall be liable to a penalty
of not more than $50.
It shall be unlawful to tamper with parking
meters or to deposit therein anything other than coins or debit cards
designated in this article. It shall be unlawful for any person to
deface, injure, tamper with, willfully break, destroy or impair the
usefulness of or to open without lawful authority any parking meter
installed on said premises. It shall be unlawful to deposit or cause
to be deposited in any parking meter any slug, device or substitute
for a coin of the United States of America.
In addition to penalties set forth in §
88-3.3 of this article, the following fines shall be imposed for violations:

and revocation of permit.
F. Washing or repair of a vehicle: $10.
