It is hereby declared the policy of the Board
of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Roslyn Harbor to protect
residential areas from any semblance of commercial enterprise.
A.Â
The parking and storing of commercial vehicles during
the period of time from sunset to sunrise is hereby prohibited in
all residential districts in the Incorporated Village of Roslyn Harbor,
except that such a vehicle may be parked for such periods of time
as required for the continued performance of any service on or delivery
to premises contained in said residential districts.
B.Â
Where such parking of a commercial vehicle is occasioned
by continuing construction or other work for which a building permit
is required, such parking shall only be permitted if and to the extent
authorized by the Building Department.

For the purposes of this section, a commercial vehicle
is defined as one which is designed or used for commercial purposes
on the public highway, such as for the transportation of goods, wares
and merchandise, and automobiles carrying passengers for hire.
