This article now stands to clarify, reconfirm and establish
the hours that represent a standard workday for elected and appointed
officials reportable to the New York State and Local Employees' Retirement
System.
A. Elected officials.
(1) Supervisor: six hours equal one workday.
(2) Councilperson: six hours equal one workday.
(3) Town Justice: six hours equal one workday.
(4) Town Clerk/Tax Collector: eight hours equal one workday.

B. Superintendent of Highways: eight hours equal one workday.
C. Appointed officials.
(1) Building Inspector: seven hours equal one workday.
(2) Assessor: six hours equal one workday.
D. Employees.
(1) Highway Department employees: eight hours equal one workday.
(2) Secretary to the Supervisor: six hours equal one workday.
(3) Clerks to the Town Justice: six hours equal one workday.
(4) Planning Board Secretary: seven hours equal one workday.
(5) Deputy Town clerk: six hours equal one workday.
(6) Assessors' Clerk: six hours equal one workday.
(7) Clerk to the Building Inspector: six hours equal one workday.
