If a future Board of Supervisors of Middletown Township elects
to be included in the Township-sponsored health insurance plan after
following the process outlined in the Second Class Township Code,
it shall pay the total costs of inclusion in the plan with no subsidy
by the Township.
If any provision of this article shall be held invalid, such
provision shall be deemed severable and the invalidity thereof shall
not affect the remaining provisions of this article. This article
shall take effect 30 days after its adoption by the Board of Supervisors
but shall apply to only those Supervisors who assume office after
December 31, 2007.

The Board of Supervisors of Middletown Township shall not authorize
any individual Supervisor or the Board as a whole to receive additional
compensation as described in Pennsylvania Senate Bill 809 of 2005,
as amended on third consideration by the Pennsylvania House of Representatives
on June 28, 2006. This prohibition shall not apply to any compensation
already authorized by the Middletown Township Board of Supervisors,
the Second Class Township Code, or the General Laws of the Commonwealth.
