GENERAL REFERENCES
Sewer use — See Ch. 456.
All privies and outhouses are hereby prohibited from the City of Norwich. The City Chamberlain may issue a permit for the maintenance of a temporary privy or outhouse in connection with any building project within the City of Norwich, said permit to be granted for a limited time only and not to exceed the duration of the building project.[1]

The Common Council may, in exceptional cases, grant a temporary permit to any property owner for the maintenance of a properly constructed septic tank upon his property, said tank to be constructed in accordance with the direction of the City Engineer.
Any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable by a fine of not more than $250 or imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both.
