The Quarryville Fire Company Number One, organized and existing
in the Borough of Quarryville, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, is
hereby designated as the officially recognized volunteer fire company
for the Borough.

Members of the Fire Company, in addition to actually participating
as firefighters as authorized above or while going to or returning
from any authorized activity recognized by the Borough, are also authorized
to do the following things:
A. Engage in activities as outlined in §
19-2, when duly called for or authorized by the chief of the Fire Company or other officer in charge of the Fire Company;
B. Engage in performance of other duty or activity to the extent that
they are required to be considered to be employees of the Borough
pursuant to and for the specific and limited purposes of the Pennsylvania
Workers' Compensation Act of 1915, P. L. 736, No. 338, as reenacted
and amended.
The purpose of this chapter is to recognize the Fire Company
as the official fire company of the Borough and to state authorized
activities for firefighters for workers' compensation purposes.
