All applications for development made pursuant
to lawful authority preceding the effective date of this chapter may
be continued.

Any owner or agent and any person or corporation
who shall violate any of the provisions of this chapter or fail to
comply therewith or with any of the requirements thereof, or who shall
erect, structurally alter, enlarge, rebuild or move any building or
buildings or any structure or who shall put into use any lot or land
in violation of any detailed statement or plan submitted hereunder,
or who shall refuse reasonable opportunity to inspect any premises,
shall be liable to a fine of not more than $500 or to imprisonment
for not more than 90 days, or both such fine and imprisonment. Each
and every day such violation continues shall be deemed a separate
and distinct violation.
The owner of any building or structure, lot or land or part thereof where anything in violation of this chapter shall be placed or shall exist, and any architect, builder, contractor, agent, person or corporation employed in connection therewith and who assists in the commission of such violation, shall each be guilty of a separate violation and, upon conviction thereof, shall each be liable to the fine or imprisonment, or both, specified in §
95-94 above.
Upon refusal or the inability of the Zoning
Enforcement Official or others charged with the responsibility to
make a complaint or for the enforcement of the sections of this chapter,
or by reason of disqualification of those charged with enforcement,
then this chapter may be enforced by any member of the Township Committee,
and the Township Committee, at any regular or special meeting thereof,
may direct any of its members or a member of the Police Department
to make such complaint.
Any and all Township ordinances or parts thereof
which are in conflict or inconsistent with any of the terms or provisions
of this Land Use and Zoning Chapter of the Township of East Hanover,
County of Morris and State of New Jersey, are hereby repealed to the
extent necessary to give this chapter full force and effect; provided,
however, that the adoption of this chapter shall not prevent or bar
the continuance or institution of any proceedings for offenses heretofore
committed in violation of any existing ordinance of the Township of
East Hanover.
