The contractor shall provide access for police, fire, ambulance,
bus and emergency vehicles at all times on all roads in which he is
working unless prior approval has been obtained from the Township
Engineer and the Chief of Police to deny access for all vehicles into
the construction area.
All signs shall be erected and maintained in a suitable manner
acceptable to the appropriate authorities and shall be maintained
so as to provide maximum visibility and legibility at all times.
The contractor shall provide for prompt removal from existing
roadways of all dirt and other materials that have been spilled, washed,
tracked or otherwise deposited thereon by his hauling and other operations
whenever the accumulation is sufficient to cause the formation of
mud, interfere with drainage, damage pavements or create a traffic
hazard or dust condition.
The requirements of the agency having jurisdiction over the
roadway in which the contractor is working shall govern.
Enforcement of this article may be administered by any member
of the Police Department or any Code Enforcement Officer.
