No person shall burn or set fire to any lot
or land; vegetation, growing or dead; trash; refuse; waste or other
matter or thing unless done in an enclosed container, incinerator,
stove or fireplace used in a dwelling or building, connected to a
chimney or other device so constructed or equipped as to prevent the
escaping of flames or sparks therefrom.
The Milton Volunteer Fire Department may burn
off any lot within the Town at the request of the owner of the property.
Outside fireplaces shall be allowed for cooking
purposes, but not for burning trash.

A. Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be subject to such penalties and pay such fines as set forth in Chapter
1, Article
II, General Penalty.
B. The application of any penalty set forth herein shall not be held
to prevent the enforced removal of any prohibited condition.
