No person or persons shall do or cause or suffer any damage to be done to any of the fire hydrants of the Village, and no person or persons shall place or assist in placing or cause to be placed any barrel, tub or like object or any signpost, placard or like thing or any article or substance whatsoever upon or near any of the fire hydrants in the Village so as to unreasonably obstruct the proper use thereof.
No person or persons shall take or cause to be taken or use or cause to be used any water whatsoever from any public hydrant within said Village except by members of the Fire Department and other authorized persons in the performance of their duties.
Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be liable for a fine not to exceed $250 for each offense or by imprisonment not exceeding 15 days, or both.
