The inhabitants of the City formerly known as Mayor and Council
of Crisfield within the corporate limits legally established therefor
are hereby constituted and/or continued a body corporate by the name
of the "City of Crisfield," with all the privileges of a body corporate,
by that name to sue and be sued, to plead and be impleaded in any
court of law or equity, to have and use a common seal and to have
perpetual succession, unless the Charter and the corporate existence
are legally abrogated.
The courses and distances showing the exact corporate limits
of the City shall be filed at all times with the Clerk of the Circuit
Court in the county in which the City is located, the Commissioner
of the Land Office and the Director of the Department of Legislative
Reference. In addition, a copy of the courses and distances describing
the corporate boundaries shall be on file in the office of the Mayor
or of the City Clerk.
