Special patrolmen shall be appointed for terms not exceeding
one year.
The special patrolmen shall have all the duties and responsibilities
of a patrolman and, when assigned to duty, shall have the same power
and authority as a member of the Police Department.
Every special patrolman while on duty shall abide by all the
rules and regulations of the Police Department. Any violation of the
rules and regulations where the penalty for a police officer is a
suspension or dismissal may result in the immediate dismissal of a
special patrolmen.
