There is hereby established in and for the Village of Nissequogue
a Court to be presided over by two Village Justices, pursuant to Village
Law § 3-301.
The two Village Justices presiding over said Court shall serve
as equal members establishing the schedule of operation of the Court
by mutual agreement.
The Village Justices shall be selected by election by the voters
of the Village at the Village election and shall serve for terms of
four years for each Justice, the beginning of said terms to be determined
by the fact that the office of one such Justice was first established
August 2, 1965, and that the office of the remaining such Justice
was first established March 7, 1974.
The Village Court and the Village Justices shall have such powers
and duties as may be assigned under the Village Law, under other state
laws and by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Nissequogue.

The Village Justice need not be a resident of the Village of
Nissequogue. The Village Justice must be a resident of Suffolk County,
New York.
