[Code 1964, § 11-2]
(a) 
Authority. The transportation of election machines, materials, furniture, fixtures and any other necessary supplies or equipment needed and required for the conduct of primaries, special elections and general elections to be held within the city shall be done by the department of public works with city equipment and employees.
(b) 
Expense. The expense of transporting the election machines shall be included as a budgetary item of the department of public works.

The election districts of the first council district shall be as follows:
(1) 
First election district. Fourth election district. Fifth election district. (6) 
Sixth election district. Eighth election district. The seventh election district shall encompass an area beginning at a point formed by the intersection of the northerly city line and the Brody Drive centerline extension, thence southwesterly along the extended centerline of Brody Drive to the intersection of the centerline of Fairwood Drive, thence southwesterly along the centerline of Brody Drive to the intersection of the centerline of Herkimer Road, thence southwesterly along the extension of the centerline of Brody Drive to the intersection of the centerline of the New York State Thruway, thence westerly along the centerline of the New York State Thruway to the extension of the centerline of Keyes Road, thence southerly along the centerline of the extension of Keyes Road to the intersection of the centerline of Consolidated Railroad Corporation Tracks (Lyons Falls Line); thence westerly along the centerline of Consolidated Railroad Corporation Tracks (Lyons Falls Line) to the intersection of the Gilbert Street extension; thence southerly along the centerline of the Gilbert Street extension to the intersection of the centerline of Broad Street then easterly on Broad Street to the intersection of the centerline of Dwyer Avenue; thence easterly along the centerline of Dwyer Avenue to the intersection of the centerline of Turner Street; thence northerly along the centerline of Turner Street to the intersection of the centerline of new NYS Route 5-S; thence easterly along the centerline of new NYS Route 5-S to the intersection of the easterly city line; thence northeasterly along the easterly city line to the intersection of the northerly city line, thence westerly along the northerly city line to the point of beginning.

The eighth election district shall encompass an area beginning at a point formed by the intersection of the centerline of Tilden Avenue and the centerline of Rutger Street, thence northerly along the centerline of Tilden Avenue to the intersection of the centerline of Broad Street, thence easterly along the centerline of Broad Street to the intersection of the centerline of Dwyer Avenue; thence easterly along the centerline of Dwyer Avenue to the intersection of the centerline of Turner Street; thence northerly along the centerline of Turner Street to the centerline of new NYS Route 5-S; thence easterly along the centerline of new NYS Route 5-S to the intersection of the easterly city line; thence southerly along the easterly city line to the intersection of the centerline of Welshbush Road; thence westerly along the centerline of Welshbush Road to the intersection of the centerline of Culver Avenue; thence northerly along the centerline of Culver Avenue to the intersection of the centerline of Girard Street; thence westerly along the centerline of Girard Street to the intersection of the centerline of Tilden Avenue, thence northerly along the centerline of Tilden Avenue to the point of beginning.

The ninth election district shall encompass an area beginning at a point formed by the intersection of the centerline of Rutger Street and the centerline of Milgate Street, thence northerly along the centerline of Milgate Street to the intersection of the centerline of Broad Street, thence easterly along the centerline of Broad Street to the intersection of the centerline of Tilden Avenue, thence southerly along the centerline of Tilden Avenue to the intersection of the centerline of Rutger Street, thence westerly along the centerline of Rutger Street to the point of beginning.
