It being the considered opinion of the Mayor and Council of
the Borough of Phoenixville that it is advisable and to the best interest
of the Borough and its employees to enter into a new agreement to
extend to its employees the basic protection accorded by the Federal
Social Security Act, the Mayor and Council hereby authorize and empower
the Mayor and Secretary to enter into an agreement extending such
coverage.
