Issuance of credit cards.

Use of credit cards. 

A credit card will be issued to an employee when deemed necessary and authorized by the Village of Sloan Board of Trustees.

The following rules shall apply to the use of the credit card:


All Village credit cards will be kept in a secure location under the control of the Village Clerk/Treasurer.


A control log will be maintained by the Office of the Village Clerk/Treasurer to document the use and return of all credit cards.


Only those employees authorized by the Village Board will be allowed to use the credit cards.


All charges will be evidenced by original sales receipts that are provided when the credit card is returned.


The original receipts will be retained by the Clerk/Treasurer, verified to the monthly credit card billing statements and attached with the statements to the voucher for payment.


In all circumstances, an employee other than the purchaser should physically verify items purchased.


All credits cards are the sole property of the Village of Sloan and cannot be used to make purchases of a personal nature.
