As used in this article, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
QUASI-PUBLIC AGENCY
Any board or commission to which the Board of Commissioners
is entitled to an appointment; and any authority or quasi-public corporation
that either:
A.
Receives appropriations from the Township;
B.
Has entered into a continuing contractual relationship with
the Township; or
C.
Operates under legal authority granted to it by the Township.
RELATIVE
A spouse, parent, child, sibling, aunt, uncle, nephew, niece,
father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law,
sister-in-law, stepfather, stepmother, stepson, stepdaughter, stepbrother,
stepsister, half brother, half sister, life partner (a person, other
than a spouse, with whom one cohabits) or the parent, child or sibling
of a life partner.
TOWNSHIP AGENCY
A Township office, department, board, commission or other
entity that is part of the Township.
A relative of any elected official or appointed official/officer
of the Township of Robinson is disqualified from holding any appointive
office or position with the Township or any quasi-public agency of
the Township. No such relative shall be employed or appointed by the
Board of Commissioners and/or the Township of Robinson.
The provisions of §
A310-16 shall not apply to the employment of any individual on a casual, part-time or seasonal basis by the Township or with respect to the hiring of any individual pursuant to the civil service laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or as may be required by the terms of a collective bargaining agreement. In addition, the prohibitions set forth in §
A310-16 shall not affect any previously appointed individual or the reappointment of such individual to any quasi-public agency subsequent to the adoption of this article.
