(a) Enumeration.
At the time of issuing any permit required under this chapter, the
Wisconsin Statutes, Wisconsin Administrative Code and/or Wisconsin
Uniform Building Code, the Building Inspector shall charge a fee as
set forth in the schedule of fees on file with the Building Inspector
and as set from time to time by resolution of the City Council.

(b) Triple fees. Upon failure to obtain a permit before work on a building
has been started, except in emergency cases, the total fee shall be
triple the fees charged.

(c) Gross square footage calculations. Fees shall be charged on gross
square footage defined as follows: the exterior dimensions, including
attached garage and each floor level.

(d) Determination of costs. In determining costs, all construction shall
be included with the exception of heating, air conditioning, electrical
or plumbing work.
(e) Rounding up of fee amounts. All fee amounts shall be rounded up to
the next full dollar amount.
(f) Plan review fee. An additional fee for plan review may be assessed
at the time of application for renewal of the permit.
