(a) Aldermanic District No. I. (c) Aldermanic District No. III. (d) Aldermanic District No. IV. Sec. 26-2 Board of Canvassers.

(a) Constitution. The Board of Canvassers shall consist of the City Clerk and two citizen members appointed by the Clerk who shall serve two-year terms commencing January 1 of each odd-numbered year.

(b) Powers and duties. The Board shall have all the powers and duties set forth in W.S.A. § 7.53.

Sec. 26-3 Election officials.

[Code 1992, § 1.42]

(a) Number. Unless otherwise provided under W.S.A. § 7.30, the number of election officials in the several aldermanic districts of the City shall be five inspectors. The City Clerk can reduce the number of inspectors by resolution.

(b) Chairman and Chief Inspector; duties. The City Clerk shall be the Chairman of the Election Board. On election day, the Chairman shall select an inspector to act as Chief Inspector whose duty it shall be to supervise the other election officials in his aldermanic district pursuant to the directions of the Chairman. The inspectors so selected shall perform such duties in addition to their other duties or be subject to removal from office.

(c) Scheduling of election inspectors. The City Clerk or Assistant City Clerk shall have the discretion to schedule election inspectors based on availability of inspectors or anticipated need of any given election. Inspectors may be scheduled for the whole election day or partial election day.

Sec. 26-4 Voting machines.

(a) The City hereby adopts the use of an electronic voting system authorized by the state statutes and approved under W.S.A. § 5.91, for use in the state.

(b) The City authorizes the purchase of all necessary materials and equipment for such system for use in Aldermanic Districts I, II, III and IV.

Sec. 26-5 Primary election.

The City shall hold a primary election on the third Tuesday of February if more than two candidates have filed nomination papers for the same municipal office.

Sec. 26-6 Polling places.

There shall be one polling place for the City. Residents of Aldermanic Districts I, II, III, and IV shall vote at the City Hall building, 626 Geneva Street.
