It is the purpose of this article to establish the position
of Deputy Administrator to the Town of Thompson.
A. The office of Deputy Administrator shall be a management confidential
position allocated to the exempt class based upon the fact that the
duties to be performed are of an administrative, confidential and
policy-influencing nature. Said position shall be appointed by the
Town Board upon the Supervisor's recommendation and shall be
an at-will employee of the Town Board.
B. The Deputy Administrator shall be responsible for record retention
(proper and secure archiving of all Town records in written and electronic
format for ease in access and retrieval); grant writing (administering,
writing and pursuing new and existing awarded grants through final
determination and funding), and economic development (to assist and
coordinate all efforts for new positive development for the Town with
the Supervisor and Town Board).
The position of Deputy Administrator to the Town of Thompson
shall be filled by appointment by the Town Board of the Town of Thompson
upon the Supervisor's recommendation. The term of office of the
Deputy Administrator shall be one year.
The salary of the Deputy Administrator of the Town of Thompson
shall be in such amount as may be fixed by said Town Board upon the
appointment of the person to fill said position and as may be appropriated
by the Town Board for such office.
