The Atlantic Avenue revetment shall consist of the stone revetment
and tidal waters along the north side of Atlantic Avenue between 17th
Avenue and 22nd Avenue.
As a condition of the state aid agreement with the New Jersey
Department of Environmental Protection, executed July 27, 2007, for
Project No. 4165-04 known as the "Longport Stone Revetment Project,"
the Borough of Longport assures perpetual public access to, and use
of, the Atlantic Avenue stone revetment and the entire tidal lands
waterward thereof along Risley's Channel. All public access to the
stone revetment and tidal areas shall be provided in a nondiscriminatory
manner. The obligation of perpetual public access cannot be modified
or repealed in any manner without consent from the New Jersey Department
of Environmental Protection and/or the Office of the Attorney General.
