No person shall cruelly treat any animal in the City in any way. Any person who inhumanely beats, underfeeds, overloads or abandons any animal shall be deemed guilty of a violation of this section.

No person shall trap any wild bird or animal on any property within the corporate boundaries of the City of Glens Falls by use of leg-hold traps, except duly authorized personnel.
It shall be unlawful to permit any dangerous animal or vicious animal or any kind to run at large within the City. Exhibitions or parades of animals which are ferae naturae in the eyes of the law may be conducted only upon securing a permit from the Chief of Police.
It shall be unlawful to harbor or keep any animals which disturb the peace by loud noises at any time of the day or night.

It shall be unlawful to harbor or keep any animals which are ferae naturae in the eyes of the law anywhere in the City without first obtaining a permit from the Chief of Police.
A. 
It shall be unlawful to permit any cattle, goats, horses, swine, sheep or poultry to run at large in the City.
B. 
It shall be unlawful to keep any live cattle, goats, horses, swine or pigs anywhere in the City of Glens Falls.

No person shall cause or allow any stable or place where any animal is or may be kept to become unclean or unwholesome. Said yard, stable, barn or coop must be cleaned out daily, and the refuse obtained must be buried or carted away daily.
A. 
It shall be unlawful to keep or have any domestic animal anywhere in the City where the keeping of such domestic animal shall be within 150 feet of the nearest adjoining property line and 150 feet from the residence of the person so keeping or having such animals.
B. 
This provision shall not apply to the keeping or harboring of common household pets such as dogs, cats and rabbits. However, the keeping or harboring of more than two of any such domestic animals shall be presumptive evidence that said animals are not being kept as household pets.

The provisions of §§ 91-6B and 91-8 shall not apply to any person, partnership, corporation, organization or institution which keeps animals other than dogs or cats, properly caged and uses them for medical research.

Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a fine of not more than $250 or to imprisonment for a term of not more than 15 days, or both, for each offense, and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues unless otherwise provided in the Agriculture and Markets Law.
