This chapter may be cited as the "Taxicab Ordinance."
As used in this chapter, words and phrases have the following
meanings:
A person who drives a taxicab, whether he is its owner or
the employee of its owner or a volunteer.
Any person, corporation, partnership or firm owning or having
control of the use of one or more taxicabs, operating within the City
of Glens Falls.

Any passenger vehicle offered for hire in the City of Glens
Falls or plying the streets of the City of Glens Falls for hire and
so designed and constructed as to seat seven persons or fewer, exclusive
of the driver, and which is not subject to the jurisdiction of the
Public Service Commission of the State of New York.
Any space designated by the Common Council on the streets
of the City of Glens Falls for taxicabs to park while waiting for
business.
