The City is hereby divided into five municipal political subdivisions,
to be known as aldermanic districts, described as follows:
(a) First Aldermanic District: Along Orange Town line from the Milford
City line (Housatonic River) southeasterly to the Connecticut Turnpike;
southwesterly and westerly along the Connecticut Turnpike to Boston
Post Road (exit 39); northeasterly along Boston Post Road to Cedarhurst
Lane; westerly along Cedarhurst Lane to Stubby Plain Brook; southerly
along Stubby Plain Brook to the Connecticut Turnpike; westerly along
the Connecticut Turnpike to Oronoque Road, northerly along Oronoque
Road to West Rutland Road; southerly along West Rutland Road to Ford
Street to the Connecticut Turnpike; southerly along the Connecticut
Turnpike to Bic Drive, then north along Bic Drive to Naugatuck Avenue;
westerly along Naugatuck Avenue to the southern border of 0 Naugatuck
Avenue (MBL 040 0301 00007) and 990 Naugatuck Avenue to the Milford
City line (Housatonic River); northerly along the Milford City line
to the Orange Town line.

The number of Justices of the Peace for the City is fixed at
24.

(a) There is hereby created an Insurance Committee which will consist
of five members appointed exclusively by the Mayor.
(b) The members of the Insurance Committee shall be licensed insurance
agents and residents or taxpayers of the City.
(c) The term of appointment for all members of the Insurance Committee
shall be three years.
(d) The duties of the Insurance Committee shall be to periodically review
the adequacy of coverage and service provided by all insurance carriers
and such other duties relating to insurance as may be assigned by
the Mayor.

The City hereby accepts the provisions of the Policemen and
Firemen Survivors' Benefit Fund as set forth in Sections 7-323(a)
through 7-323(i) of the General Statutes of the state, as amended.

Within the territorial limits of the City of Milford, no owner-occupied
residential real property consisting of four or fewer dwelling units
may be acquired by eminent domain for economic development purposes
pursuant to General Statutes §§ 8-128 to 8-133 inclusive,
if the resulting project will be privately owned or controlled. Nothing
contained herein shall be construed to limit the use of eminent domain
powers for pubic purposes including but not limited to the construction
of sewers, highways, sidewalks, rights-of-way, flood, shore and erosion
control purposes or for any other transaction where the property rights
acquired will be held or controlled by the City of Milford. This section
shall not conflict with any subsequently enacted state law on this
subject matter.
