A fee of $400 for any application for an interpretation, special
exception, variance or appeal from the Zoning Officer, which application
relates to a single-family residential use on a single lot.
A fee of $500 for any application for an interpretation, special
exception, variance or appeal from the Zoning Officer, which application
relates to a two-family dwelling or duplex residential dwelling use.
A fee of $750 for any application for an interpretation, special
exception, variance or appeal from the Zoning Officer, which application
relates to a commercial, industrial, institutional or multiple-dwelling
use.
In addition to any other applicable fees, in all cases relating to
the Floodplain Ordinance, the applicant or appellant shall pay all
expenses incurred by the Township with regard to the provisions of
the ordinance and map, including, but not limited to, costs for an
engineer and expert testimony. These costs shall be due and payable
to the Township within 30 days after submission of a cost statement
to the appellant or applicant.
When an applicant seeks to have a hearing postponed, and such continuance
is granted, the applicant shall pay a continuance fee of $200 for
any single-family residential application and a continuance fee of
$400 for all other applications, which fee shall be paid at the time
of applying for such postponement.[1]
In addition
to any other applicable fees, an application for a validity challenge
to any part or parts of the Zoning Ordinance shall pay a fee of $1,500
to cover the additional necessary administrative overhead attendant
on such applications. No part of the fee will be used to pay for the
legal expenses of the Zoning Hearing Board or the cost of expert witnesses
for the Township.
In addition
to any other applicable fees, including the fee for continuances or
postponements at the applicant’s request, any application which,
in the judgment of the Zoning Officer, is likely to consume more than
one hearing, is subject to the requirement that the applicant post
an escrow in the amount of $1,000 to cover additional administrative
overhead, notices, advertising, and compensation for Zoning Hearing
Board members and the Board secretary. Any portion of the escrow which
is not used will be refunded to the applicant upon request after a
decision has been rendered.
