Notice of all elections, stating the prescribed polling hours,
shall be given by publication in the official newspaper at least 10
days before the election.
The designated polling place for all wards of the City of Prescott
shall be at the Prescott City Hall, Pierce County, Prescott, Wisconsin.
Whenever three or more candidates file nomination papers, candidates
for elective City offices may be nominated by a nonpartisan primary
conducted pursuant to § 8.11, Wis. Stats. Such candidate
shall file with his nomination papers a declaration that he will qualify
for the office to which he may be elected.
Pursuant to the Wisconsin Statutes, there is hereby established
one set of election officials to conduct all elections in the wards
of the City which shall consist of seven election inspectors. However,
the City Clerk shall have the power to limit the number of election
officials. The Clerk shall determine in advance of each election whether
the number of election officials for such election should be reduced
from the number prescribed by the Wisconsin Statutes, and if such
a reduction is so determined, the Clerk shall further redistribute
duties among the remaining officials.

A. Ward 1: Beginning at the northeasterly corporate boundary line of
the City of Prescott, thence westerly to the corporate boundary of
the City of Prescott and creating an imaginary line parallel line
to the north side of U.S. Highway 10 and southwesterly to Dexter Street;
thence southwesterly along Dexter Street to Walnut Street; thence
southeasterly to Flora Street South; thence south along Flora Street
South to Ash Street; thence southeasterly along Ash Street to Flora
Street South; thence southwesterly along Flora Street to Monroe Street;
thence southwesterly along Monroe St. South; thence northwesterly
along Jefferson Street/State Road 35 to the east corporate boundary
line.
B. Ward 2: Beginning at the southwest intersection of Flora Street South
and Kinnickinnic Street, along the south side of Kinnickinnic Street,
south to the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad crossing and following
the railroad tracks thence southwest to the Mississippi River; thence
along the railroad tracks to the east corporate boundary of the City
of Prescott from the Mississippi River north to the southwest side
of Jefferson Street/State Road 35; thence easterly to Kinnickinnic
Street; then to the northwest side of Flora Street South to the point
of beginning.
C. Ward 3: Beginning at the southeast intersection of Pine and Campbell
Street, westerly on Pine Street to Hope Street, thence westerly along
Hilton Street to the east side of U.S. Highway 10; south along Highway
10 to the Mississippi River; thence follow the north side of the railroad
track to the railroad crossing to the west side of Kinnickinnic/Campbell
Street to point of beginning.
D. Ward 4: Beginning at the intersection of Campbell Street and U.S.
Highway 10; thence southeasterly along U.S. Highway 10 to Dexter Street;
thence southwesterly along Dexter Street to St. Walnut Street; thence
northwesterly along Waltnut Street to Flora Street; thence northeasterly
along Flora Street to Kinnickinnic Street; thence northeasterly along
Kinnickinnic/Campbell Street to point of beginning.
E. Ward 5: Part of the City of Prescott lying north of the north line
of the S 1/2 of the S 1/2 of Section 3, T26N, R20W commonly known
as St. Croix Bluff Subdivision and the northeast side of U.S. Highway
10 to the intersection of U.S. Highway 10/Cherry Street/Broad Street
southwest along U.S. Highway 10 to the intersection of U.S. 10 and
Hilton Street thence all of the property north of Hilton Street to
the intersection of Hilton and Hope Street, thence northwesterly on
Hilton Street to Pine Street; thence northwesterly along Pine Street
to the northwest intersection of Pine Street and Campbell Street;
thence all property north of U.S. Highway 10 to the north corporate
boundary of the City of Prescott including the Eagle Ridge Business
Park.
If the City is conducting an election for another party, and
the other party underestimates the amount of electronic ballots needed
by greater than 100, compensation for election officials will be triple
their regular rate for the time spent tallying election returns. All
charges shall be reimbursed by the third party.
