There shall be one Seal for the public use of the Town. It shall have a shield bearing three salmon and a net engraven thereon; above the shield shall be engraven the year of incorporation "1669" and in an oval around the same shall be engraven the words: "The Town of Westerly, R.I. Official Seal," according to the following replica:

The Official Seal of the Town of Westerly shall not be used or reproduced by any person for any purpose but official Town business, nor shall the Town Seal or a reproduction of it be affixed to any but official Town documents or displays, unless otherwise provided by law.

Any person who shall violate any provisions of this article shall be guilty of an offense against the Town, punishable as provided in Chapter I, Article II, General Penalty.
