The Village Clerk shall cause to be printed or otherwise reproduced
copies of such proposed local law and shall, not later than the day
such notice is published in the official newspaper of the village,
post one such copy, together with the notice of the hearing, in a
conspicuous place in the Village Office. The Village Clerk shall also
make copies of such proposed local law available at the Village Office
for inspection by and distribution to any interested person during
regular business hours.
Proof of publication of the notice of public hearing required by §
2-1 hereof shall be filed in the office of the Village Clerk.
The Village Clerk shall forthwith, upon the adoption of a local
law by the Board of Trustees, post a copy thereof in a conspicuous
place in the Village Clerk's Office and shall, within 10 days
after such adoption, cause the local law or an abstract thereof describing
the same in general terms to be published in the official newspaper
of the village.
Proof of the posting of the copy of an adopted local law and the publication of the local law or an abstract thereof required by §
2-4 hereof shall be filed in the office of the Village Clerk.
Each local law shall be numbered consecutively, beginning with
the number one, for each calendar year. When a local law has been
finally adopted, certified copies thereof, as required by § 27
of the Municipal Home Rule Law of the State of New York, shall be
filed in the offices of the Village Clerk of the Village of Malone,
the Comptroller of the State of New York and the Secretary of State
of the State of New York. The Village Clerk shall accordingly assign
to such local law its appropriate number.
This local law shall take effect immediately.
