Any person who violates any specific provision of this Code or the Kittery Port Authority rules and regulations, wherein a violation penalty provision is made in the title or rules and regulations addressing such, must be penalized as specified. Each day any such violation continues constitutes a separate offense. All fines collected hereunder accrue to the benefit of the Town.
Whenever in this Code or in any ordinance of the Town any act is prohibited or is made or declared to be unlawful or an offense, or a civil violation, or whenever in such Code or ordinance the doing of any act is required or the failure to do any act is declared to be unlawful, or a civil violation or an offense, where no specific penalty is provided therefor, the violation of any such provision of this Code or any ordinance must be punished by a fine of not more than $500. Each day any violation of any provisions of this Code or of any ordinance continues constitutes a separate offense. All fines collected hereunder accrue to the benefit of the Town.

The Kittery Port Authority rules and regulations are promulgated by the Port Authority in accordance with Article IX, Section 9.02, of the Town of Kittery Charter; and are to be construed as having the force and effect of law as municipal ordinances in accordance with Title 38, Maine Revised Statutes (MRS). Whenever in the rules and regulations any act is prohibited or is made or declared to be unlawful or an offense, or a civil violation, or whenever in such rules and regulations the doing of any act is required or the failure to do any act is declared to be unlawful, or a civil violation or an offense, where no specific penalty is provided therefor in the rules and regulations, the violation of any such provision must be punished by a fine of $50. Each day any violation of any provisions of the rules and regulations continues constitutes a separate offense. All fines collected hereunder accrue to the benefit of the Town.
