(a) No person shall operate any commercial vehicle, as defined herein,
on Schoolhouse Road in the City of Milford between Bridgeport Avenue
(U.S. Route 1) and the Connecticut Turnpike (U.S. Route 95) within
100 feet of either side of the bridge over the railroad right-of-way.
(b) No person shall operate any commercial vehicle, as defined herein,
on Governors Avenue in the City of Milford between North Street and
Cherry Street except while on a trip with a point of origin from or
destination on Governors Avenue. All commercial vehicles wishing to
proceed from North Street to Cherry Street shall proceed on North
Street to West Main Street and West Main Street to Cherry Street.
(c) No person shall operate any commercial vehicle, as defined herein,
on that portion of Roses Mill Road in the City of Milford between
the Roses Mill Road bridge crossing the Indian River and the Orange—Milford
Town Line except while on a trip with a point of origin from or destination
on the following streets:
(1)
That section of Roses Mill Road described above;
(9)
The westerly section of Quarry Road between Roses Mill Road
and the bridge over the Connecticut Turnpike; and
(10)
Mill Pond Close.
All commercial vehicles wishing to proceed to destinations other
than the 10 streets listed above shall use the Boston Post Road or
Woodmont Road.

(d) No person shall operate any commercial vehicle, as defined herein,
on the westerly section of Quarry Road between Roses Mill Road and
the bridge over the Connecticut Turnpike except while on a trip with
a point of origin from or destination on the following streets:
(1)
That section of Quarry Road described above;
(9)
The section of Roses Mill Road between the Roses Mill bridge
over the Indian River and the Orange—Milford Town Line; and
(10)
Mill Pond Close.
All commercial vehicles wishing to proceed to destinations other
than the 10 streets listed above shall use the Boston Post Road or
Woodmont Road.

(e) No person shall operate any commercial vehicle, as defined herein,
on the section of Naugatuck Avenue between the bridge over the railroad
right-of-way and Bic Drive except while on a trip with a point of
origin or destination on the following streets:
(1)
That section of Naugatuck Avenue described above;
(4)
Crowley Avenue.
All commercial vehicles wishing to proceed to destinations other
than the four streets listed above shall use Bridgeport Avenue, the
Connecticut Turnpike (Route 95) and Bic Drive.

(f) No person shall operate any commercial vehicle, as defined herein,
on that section of Plains Road between the Connecticut Turnpike bridge
and the intersection of Plains Road and Oronoque Road except while
on a trip with a point of origin from or destination on the following
streets:
(1)
That section of Plains Road described above;
(2)
Ray Bob Road and Andrus Drive:
(6)
West Rutland Road and all streets served by West Rutland Road;
(7)
Cornfield Road and Haystack Road;
(8)
Harvest Lane and Partridge Lane; and
(9)
Raton Drive.
All commercial vehicles wishing to proceed to destinations other
than the streets listed above shall use the Connecticut Turnpike (Route
95) and Bic Drive.

(g) No person shall operate any commercial vehicle, as defined herein,
on the following streets: Rivercliff Drive, Kerema Avenue, Intervale
Parkway, Woodland Drive, Ellis Street, Spring Street, and Lenox Avenue,
except while on a trip with a point of origin from or destination
on said streets.
All commercial vehicles wishing to proceed to destinations other
than the streets listed above shall use Bridgeport Avenue and Naugatuck
Avenue.

(h) No person shall operate any vehicle in excess of 6,000 pounds (gross
vehicle weight) on or over the West Main Street bridge between West
River Street and North Street. All such vehicles wishing to proceed
through this area shall use West River Street, River Street and Cherry
Street or North Street and the Boston Post Road.

"Commercial vehicle” shall mean any vehicle designed or
used for the transportation of property, merchandise, freight or employees
of the owner and/or any vehicle whose body weight or whose combined
body and load weight exceeds 8,000 pounds.

The Chief of Police shall cause to be installed appropriate signs on the streets listed in Section
14-49, which signs shall clearly indicate that all commercial vehicle traffic, as defined herein, is prohibited from that section of the highways designated by Section
14-49 and shall clearly indicate the available alternate route.

Any person violating the terms of Section
14-49 shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $100 for each violation.
