All private storm sewers, constructed within the Township right-of-way
shall be constructed, repaired and inspected under the jurisdiction
of the Bureau of Engineering of the Department of Community Services.
Sump pumps must be connected into a storm sewer, catch basin
or seepage pit on private property. Sump pumps shall not outlet onto
the street. Seepage pits shall not be constructed within 10 feet of
the adjoining property, whether publicly or privately owned. Site
plans for new house construction must be approved by the Engineering
Bureau with respect only to drainage.
The fees for permits for private storm sewers shall be:
A. Connect roof leader to gutter: $20.
B. Connect storm sewer to catch basin or manhole: $40.
C. Connect storm sewer to storm sewer main: $25.
Any person who violates any provision of this article shall,
upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding $2,000,
imprisonment in the county/municipal jail for a term not exceeding
90 days, or a period of community service not exceeding 90 days, or
any combination thereof as determined by the Municipal Court Judge.
Each day on which a violation of an ordinance exists shall be considered
a separate and distinct violation and shall be subject to imposition
of a separate penalty for each day of the violation as the Municipal
Court Judge may determine.
